Not a very flattering review by an Amazom purchaser - this is a very old text and therefore should be treated in its historical context, however:

Mr. H. Dennis Taylor was an early British pioneer in the design of optical systems. And this book on the adjustment and testing of telescope objectives was considered for a long time to be a classic in its field.

There is absolutely nothing at all in this book about modern optical coatings, apochromatic refractors, plossl or orthoscopic eyepieces, electrically driven mounts, or digital imaging. The optics and telescopes described here belong in a museum.
